The Raptors were outrebounded 42-31 last night and they didn’t play any D allowing the Magic to shoot 57.3% from the floor and those were the two biggest reasons for the beat-down they received. Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors last night with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Hedo Turkoglu only shot 2 of 7 from the floor last night but he still finished up with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Jarrett Jack pitched in with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. The Raptors are now 11-17 on the year.

Toronto Raptors 95, Miami Heat 115

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Big Raptors News by Andrew on Wednesday 16 December 2009 at 1:18 am

The Toronto Raptors (12-11) did not come ready to play Tuesday night and were blown out by the Miami Heat (11-16).  They were outrebounded 45-32 and shot 45% from the field, while the Heat shot 52%.  The Raptors need to do a better job rebounding.  Center Andrea Bargnani and power forward Chris Bosh combined for only 9 rebounds.  Bosh did his job on offense though, scoring 28 points and dishing out 4 assists.  The Heat didn’t even get a huge night out of Dwayne Wade, who had 19 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists and was able to sit out the fourth quarter due to the large Heat lead.  The Raptors let Michael Beasley do whatever he wanted, as he tied his career high with 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.  This was a poor effort by the Raptors.

Antoine Wright has been awful for the Toronto Raptors this season

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 15 December 2009 at 11:46 am

Antoine Wright would fit right in with his old team (Nets) with the way he has played this season for the Raptors. Wright has played in 20 games (1 start) for the Raptors this season and he is averaging 17.4 minutes, 4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He is shooting an amazingly awful 32.4% from the floor and it is going to start earning him a lot more time on the bench unless he starts to turn things around soon.

The Raptors shot 50% from the floor and they held the Rockets to 36.8% shooting which led to a nice win last night. Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors last night with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. Hedo Turkoglu also had a good game with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jarrett Jack got another start last night and he was outstanding with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The Raptors are now 11-15 on the year.
