The Toronto Raptors acquire Primoz Brezec from the Pistons

The Raptors have acquired center Primoz Brezec from the Pistons for guard Juan Dixon. Brezec has played in 37 games (18 starts) this season for the Pistons and Bobcats. In those games, Brezec has averaged 9.9 minutes, 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Brezec has now played in 308 games (214 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 19.4 minutes, 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Brezec will back up Andrea Bargnani and that should be a good teaming at center.

Juan Dixon played in 36 games (0 starts) this season for the Raptors and he averaged 11.8 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Toronto Raptors 109, New Jersey Nets 91

The Raptors shot 51.3% from the floor on Wednesday Night and they also outrebounded the Nets 41-28 which explains the ease of the victory. Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Jose Calderon did an outstanding job of running the offense with 22 points, 12 assists and 2 steals. Jamario Moon had his best game in a long time as he finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals in only 18 minutes. The Raptors are now 28-23 on the season.

San Antonio Spurs 93, Toronto Raptors 88

The Raptors appeared a little bit tired last night as the Spurs outrebounded them 46-34 and it cost them in this game. Jose Calderon led the way for the Raptors with 27 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Andrea Bargnani only shot 3 for 11 from the floor as he finished with 12 points and 2 rebounds. Chris Bosh also had a rough shooting night (3 of 11) as he finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. The Raptors are now 27-23 on the season.

Toronto Raptors 105, Minnesota Timberwolves 82

The Raptors shot an amazing 50.6% from the floor Sunday Night as they blasted the Timberpuppies in Minnesota. Andrea Bargnani led the way for the Raptors with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Jose Calderon did a great job of running the offense as he finished with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 10 assists in only 26 minutes. Chris Bosh also had a solid game as he finished with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. The Raptors are now 27-22 on the season.

Los Angeles Clippers 102, Toronto Raptors 98

The Raptors folded in the 2nd half last night as the Clippers outscored them 52-40 to pull away from them. The Raptors flat out didn’t want the game as bad as the Clippers did as they were outrebounded 45-33 and they also allowed the Clippers to shoot 52.9% from the floor. Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors with 29 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Rookie Jamario Moon also had a solid game with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Andrea Bargnani pitched in with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Carlos Delfino was solid off the bench with 14 points and 3 rebounds in only 17 minutes on the court. The Raptors are now 26-22 on the season.
