The Toronto Raptors sign Jason Kapono
Jason Kapono will sign a 4 year-$24 million dollar contract with the Raptors the first day he’s allowed to. Kapono will really like playing in the wide open offense of the Raptors. He simply is the best shooter in the entire NBA. He played in 67 games (35 starts) last season for the Heat and he averaged 26.4 minutes, 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. His shooting was outstanding from everywhere on the basketball court. He shot 49.4% from the floor, 51.4% from three point range and 89.2% from the free throw line.
His good numbers last year spiked his career numbers upwards. He has now played in 240 games (54 starts) and he has averaged 18.1 minutes, 7.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. He has hit 44% of his shots from the floor, 45.9% from three point range and 85.2% from the free throw line over his NBA career. Look for the career numbers of Kapono to continue to improve in Toronto as he should improve his stats across the board.

big deal this one!
as few can handle tj off the dribble, by adding an A-level shooter, tj can just dish to kapono if need be. Basically, the guard dealing with tj will have little help off the high screen and roll the raps run… and run…
I can see it now… the raps are going to be throwing daggers all night long. hell, they’ll be starting a 3 point shooter at center with barney.
Don’t forget when the ball goes into Chris Bosh that teams will double him opening up a shot for Kapono. This was a great signing for the Raptors as he will fit in nicely. Also, grabbing Carlos Delfino was a good move too.
