The Raptors have signed forward Maceo Baston to a 2-year, $3.8 million dollar contract.  He played in 47 games (2 starts) for the Pacers last season and he averaged 8.6 minutes, 2.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.  He shot 64.5% from the floor, 42.9% from three point range and 78.7% from the free throw line.

Baston only has two years of experience in the NBA and he never has really been given much of a chance to show what he can do.  Baston has played in 63 games (2 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 8.1 minutes, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.  He has shot 63.4% from the floor, 42.9% from three point range and 79.7% from the free throw line.  The Raptors got a good deal in signing Baston as he appears to have a lot of ability and the Raptors will give him enough minutes to let him show what he can do.

Jason Kapono will sign a 4 year-$24 million dollar contract with the Raptors the first day he’s allowed to.  Kapono will really like playing in the wide open offense of the Raptors.  He simply is the best shooter in the entire NBA.  He played in 67 games (35 starts) last season for the Heat and he averaged 26.4 minutes, 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.  His shooting was outstanding from everywhere on the basketball court.  He shot 49.4% from the floor, 51.4% from three point range and 89.2% from the free throw line.

His good numbers last year spiked his career numbers upwards.  He has now played in 240 games (54 starts) and he has averaged 18.1 minutes, 7.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.  He has hit 44% of his shots from the floor, 45.9% from three point range and 85.2% from the free throw line over his NBA career.  Look for the career numbers of Kapono to continue to improve in Toronto as he should improve his stats across the board.
