Rookie F/C Andrea Bargnani will miss the remainder of the regular season after undergoing an emergency appendectomy on March 21st.  He should be able to return for the playoffs as long as he has no setbacks in his recovery.  Bargnani played in 64 games this season and he averaged 25.0 minutes, 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists.  He hit 37.6% from three point range and 82.8% from the free throw line and that shooting will be missed some by the Raptors.  Bargnani had a solid rookie season as he reminds me of Dirk Nowitzki when he first came into the NBA.  If he turns into that kind of player, the Raptors will be a legit championship contender soon.

The Raptors jumped the Nuggets 72-43 in the first half last night and never looked back.  The Raptors hit an amazing 57% of their shots from the floor last night!  Morris Peterson led the way for the Raptors with 23 points and 3 rebounds (he hit 6 of 10 3-pointers).  Jorge Garbajosa also had an outstanding game with 22 points and 9 rebounds.

The Raptors outrebounded the Magic 55-38 and they held them to 37.3% shooting from the floor and that’s why they won last night.  Chris Bosh led the way for the Raptors with 34 points and 16 rebounds.  T.J. Ford had a solid game running the offense with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 12 assists.  Juan Dixon was good off of the bench with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
