The Raptors trade Fred Jones to the Trailblazers for guard Juan Dixon

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Thursday 22 February 2007 at 3:56 pm

This was a good trade for the Raptors as Fred Jones was a huge disappointment this season.  Juan Dixon is a shooting guard that could play point guard in a pinch.  His main skill is that he’s a fine outside shooter.  In 55 games with the Trailblazers Dixon averaged 8.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.  For his career, Dixon has played in 307 games and he’s averaged 9.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.  Dixon is a very athletic player that should fit in well on the run and gun Raptors.
